Agricultural

The Office of Energy Resources Agricultural Efficiency Program promotes cost-effective energy conservation programs and services for Idaho's agricultural community. The program also works with the state's agriculture related industries assisting with their energy needs. Energy and water use conservation are the primary focus of the Agriculture Efficiency Program. Agriculture is one of the largest industries in Idaho and a major portion of the state's economy. The program assists farmers, animal production businesses, aquaculture and greenhouse facilities in locating and implementing alternative energy resources and assisting in analysis of water consumption. Lowering water use can significantly lower energy use and operation costs. To achieve these benefits, we provide technical assistance, educational programs and demonstrations of new technologies. Energy loans are available for qualifying projects.
